It was in 2016 that Vilma begins the path of the artist, the exploration from the emotional and perceptive, investigating techniques and procedures to find her personal stamp in abstract expressionism. She uses as a tool basically palette knives and her works are of marked strokes that merge and overlap colours, her palette is reduced to loose strokes and without previous planning she lets the canvas ask and the stains concretise her inspiration.

EXPRESSARTE is the name she calls for her Instagram profile and this becomes the door to spread her art; she starts to contact artists, curators and gallery owners, receiving proposals from important international galleries.

She exhibits in @galeriaarenales, @artekalón art space, in Palacio Barolo with @PaulasikanArt, and in the 18th exhibition of @arteview among others, she participates with the delivery of a work in the PH programme (programme 11 of 2020).

For me painting is a way to connect with my inner self, changing and intense, so I feel, think, discover and materialize instants in each work.

I am an artist. I am Vilma and my essence is painting.
