Profile
My name is Sandra Díaz, I was born in the city of Mendoza.
I grew up and studied in the city of Buenos Aires, where I graduated in Medicine, also doing a postgraduate in Internal Medicine.
Painting came into my life as an awakening, a path sought and found, a change of direction. After having practiced as a doctor for a long period, a process of personal search led me to investigate alternatives for self-knowledge and expression: a change in lifestyle. "It was a process of permanent search, an awakening, in which I found myself and was able to encourage myself to take a different path.
I started painting about 17 years ago, beginning with an empirical style of painting. Self-taught, researching and with a lot of observation. I have taken workshops and courses focused on different types of techniques: acrylic painting, oil painting, palette knife and mixed techniques.
At the moment I am improving my drawing skills with the teacher and artist Aldana Falcón.
My works are abstract-figurative themed, using different materials: acrylics, oils, pastels, asphalt, palette knives and brushes...
Since 2013 I live in the city of Cordoba, where I dedicate myself to my passions: painting and animals, I am a dog trainer.
I strongly celebrate this possibility of expressing myself through painting. I am grateful for all these versions of myself, which have been shaping the person I am today, enriching it. Painting saves me and connects me with myself.
Inspired by life, emotions, music, trying to express my feelings from my soul.
from my soul.
I let myself go after the colours, which are the force that moves the visual connection, I play with imagination to lose myself in a path of sensations that ends up being matter through action.
The key is to achieve possible readings that generate a feeling.
