Maria Shalito graduated from the Moscow Architectural Institute (1987), but has been painting and drawing professionally since 1990. She trained as an artist in Paris (2001), began teaching painting at the Moscow Architectural Institute in the same year and opened her own private drawing studio, Shalitostudio, a year earlier. He has been participating in exhibitions since 1994.
Among the group of personal exhibitions are in Paris and London, at the Moscow Gallery of Fine Arts ("Subject of Portrait", "Beauty and the Beast"), in Kolomna, at the Pokrovka Cultural Centre. Among the most recent - "From the life of things" in VZUTEMAS gallery and Camera Secreta in MUAP (both in 2014), 2015 - "About things" in Mart cafe, then in 2019 "Rain in the mid-season" in Open Club gallery and at the end of 2021 - "Dreams" in Gauguin art cafe.
The works are in private Russian and foreign collections.
