Profile

I was born in San Martín de los Andes on 13/8/65, great-granddaughter of pioneers of the Chidiak family who arrived in the region in the late 1890s.

My passion for the outdoors and art inspired me from a young age, and that is how I was able to grow up in a free way to express myself with total freedom and without limitations in terms of rules, guidelines or prejudices that conditioned me.

In this way I was able to find, by myself, the path that my soul and my instinct to be, to the people and situations in each moment of my life were leading me to. That is to say, I was formed from my own search and experience, leaving my footprints on that path. That is how I define this exhibition, where I precisely expose the changes in which I find myself at this moment, going from the figurative to the abstract, in full search and amazement.

In addition to the palette knife, oil and brush, I also use watercolours and carbon pencils, oil pastels, chalk and any other instrument that inspires me to create.

I inherited my love for art from my father, as well as my passion for horses, having been a horse riding guide for several years.

In addition, I am a kindergarten teacher where art was my strength. I am also a ski instructor, whose activity allowed me to spend years outdoors, in contact with nature and admiring the wonderful landscapes of our beloved Patagonia.

I have had individual exhibitions in several places in our city, as well as in Steamboat Spring (United States), sister city of San Martín de los Andes. I also made, on several occasions, exhibitions with Emaus Miciu in the Sala de Cultura Municipal, in Hotels and Shops of our city and, in this same one, Günther Blaas of the Centro Cultural Cotesma.
